Middlebrook is a community which leverages its agricultural past to create future prosperity. A place of special moments, Middlebrook builds off of its enviable position in the region only twenty minutes away from downtown Des Moines, anchoring the southwest corner of the city. By employing its foundation as an agricultural community, Middlebrook establishes itself on the street corner at the intersection of real estate and food. Middlebrook envisions a community of neighborhoods, where families can be raised, memories created and dreams achieved; it’s Middlebrook, in sustainable harmony.
A cornucopia of produce is currently being grown in the four-acre Middlebrook town garden. Visitors can find an assortment of melons, tomatoes, sweet corn, pumpkins, carrots, winter squash, zucchini, cucumbers and eggplant at the garden stand, open daily at Middlebrook Farm. Future plans include a farm store & café, a communal space where people will be able to gather and enjoy the bounty of the town garden with proximity to the fields and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Middlebrook will also include neighborhood community gardens, where individuals and families can cultivate their own produce. These gardens will be a wonderful place for children to learn about where their food comes from, and for adults to build upon their growing experience. Neighbors will be able to share in the excitement and satisfaction of growing their own food.

Thoughtful growth and development have preserved Cumming’s small town character and enabled the city to exist in sustainable harmony with the agrihood. Middlebrook provides over 1,000 housing options, ranging from single family and townhomes, to apartments and senior living, to high-end estate homes. Over 45 acres of land remain devoted to agricultural and open space in Middlebrook’s initial Parcel A development, including a central commercial agricultural area with bike/pedestrian greenway, community gardens and other parks. Parcels B and C will have an additional 75 acres devoted to agriculture and open space, with plans to include an orchard, winery and green house/hydroponic site.
We’re eager to be a part of the Cumming community. Check out the events we're hosting at Middlebrook.
